Salar is a reasonably priced, upscale, yet casual style restaurant. We have created a unique dining experience with two outdoor patios, two full bars, a main dining room with full-wall windows looking out onto the Historic Oregon District, an intimate lounge space, and a private dining room. Our Executive Chef, Margot Blondet came to the United States from her native Peru in 2005, and her menu reflects her love for her home country. Blondet serves up a love-enhancing menu bursting with the rich flavors and passion of Peru, from a heady cocktail to a super-healthy vegetarian entree, and, of course, dessert.

Peruvian cuisine reflects not only the traditional dishes native to the area but also, through centuries of immigration, influences from Spain, China, Italy, West Africa, and Japan. By integrating classical French techniques, our menu will consist of a fusion of influences that result in dishes that are both comfortable and unique. The outcome becomes an exciting twist, rather than a radical departure from the diners’ favorite foods.

Chef's Table

Our Chef's Table provides guests with an intimate atmosphere for private parties and includes a two-way mirror view into the kitchen. This table seats 4-6 guests and requires a $25 booking fee, which is donated to a charity close to Chef Margot's heart - Kuychi Runa - a nonprofit organization preserving the Andean culture for future generations.

Bubble Room & Lounge

This space accommodates up to 60 guests total and is the perfect setting for cocktails and mingling. The bubble wall is furnished with a row of dining tables that comfortably seats up to 18 guests. On the other side of the bubble room is a renovated lounge furnished with several couches and low, small tables that accommodates 24 seated guests. The bubble wall and lounge can be booked together or separately.

Twig Room

This fully private room includes a sliding door for optimal privacy and accommodates up to 36 guests. Both walls are lined with comfortable bench seating, dining tables, and chairs. The back patio is accessible from this room and provides beautiful natural lightning from the outdoors.

Pisco Bar

Our beautifully lit pisco bar is located by the front entrance of the restaurant, and comfortably seats up to 22 guests between the bar and low top tables ranging in size. It is separated from the main dining area by the host stand, making it a semi-private section. Large front windows provide a view of the Oregon District, and lighting includes both candlelit tables and customizable colored bar lighting.
